Q1. How can I check my UPPSC LT Grade Assistant Teacher Mains Result 2026?

Open uppsc.up.nic.in and go to the What's New section on the home page. Click the download result link for your subject. The merit list opens as a PDF file. Press Ctrl+F and enter your roll number inside the search box. Your name, roll number and subject will appear on the screen if you qualify. Save the PDF and keep a printed copy for the document verification round.

Q2. What are the minimum qualifying marks in the UPPSC LT Grade examination?

The commission fixes category wise cut off marks for every subject separately. General category candidates need higher marks than OBC, SC and ST applicants. There is no single passing mark printed for all subjects together. The cut off depends on paper difficulty, total vacancies and the number of candidates who appeared. The official cut off PDF is uploaded on the portal after the result is declared.

Q3. I lost my roll number. Can I still check the result?

Yes, you can still check your result. Your roll number is printed on the admit card of the concerned subject. You can also recover it from the email or SMS sent by the commission at the time of application. Another option is to search your name inside the merit list PDF. The commission does not share roll numbers over the phone or by any helpline.

Q4. Is there negative marking in the UPPSC LT Grade prelims exam?

Yes, the commission applies a penalty for wrong answers in the objective paper. One third of the marks assigned to a question gets deducted for every incorrect response. Questions left blank carry no penalty at all. Candidates should therefore attempt only those questions they are reasonably confident about. The OMR sheet must be filled with a black ball point pen as per instructions printed on the sheet.

Q5. What is the age limit and relaxation for LT Grade Assistant Teacher posts?

The minimum age is 21 years and the maximum is 40 years as on 01 July 2025. OBC candidates of Uttar Pradesh receive 3 years of upper age relaxation. SC and ST candidates receive 5 years of relaxation. PwD candidates get 10 to 15 years of relaxation depending on the disability category. Ex-Servicemen get relaxation as per state government norms. There is no relaxation in the minimum age limit for any category.

Q6. Which documents are required at the UPPSC LT Grade document verification?

Carry Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets along with passing certificates. Bring graduation and post graduation degree certificates of the concerned subject. The B.Ed or D.El.Ed certificate and a valid TET certificate are compulsory. Also carry your caste certificate, EWS certificate or PwD certificate if applicable. Add a photo identity proof, recent photographs, the printed application form and the admit card of every stage.

Q7. What happens after the UPPSC LT Grade mains result is declared?

Candidates who clear the mains cut off move to the document verification stage. The DV schedule was published on 19 September 2026. Original certificates are checked against the details filled in the online form. A medical fitness test follows for candidates who clear verification. The final merit list and appointment letters are issued by the Uttar Pradesh basic education department afterwards.

Q8. Can I request re-checking or re-evaluation of my answer sheet?

The commission does not allow any re-checking or re-evaluation of answer sheets. You may raise objections against the answer key within the window announced by UPPSC. Once the final answer key is published, the declared result is treated as final. No correspondence on marks or merit position is entertained after that stage. Candidates should keep checking the official portal for any fresh notice.
