Q1. How can I check my UPTET 2021 result if I lost my registration number?

Do not worry. The official portal offers a recovery option for this exact problem. Open updeled.gov.in and click the registration number problem and solutions link. Enter your registered mobile number and date of birth to fetch the number. If the recovery page does not work, send a written request to the Examination Regulatory Authority along with your application ID and a photo identity proof. Your admit card copy also carries the roll number, so keep it handy. Once you recover the number, log in again and download the scorecard.

Q2. What are the minimum qualifying marks in UPTET 2021?

General category candidates need 60 percent marks, which works out to 90 marks out of 150. Candidates from OBC, SC, ST, and PwD categories need 55 percent marks, which is about 82 marks out of 150. There is no negative marking in this test. That means you should attempt every single question. Your level wise scorecard clearly shows whether you crossed the qualifying cut off or not.

Q3. Is there any re-checking or re-evaluation facility after the UPTET result?

No. The board does not allow re-checking or re-evaluation of the OMR sheet after the result. The only window for a challenge was the answer key objection round. Candidates who raised valid objections got them reviewed before the final answer key was published. That final answer key is treated as binding. Once the result is out, no further correction of marks is possible. So compare your scorecard with the final answer key carefully.

Q4. How long is the UPTET certificate valid for a qualified candidate?

The TET certificate now carries lifetime validity as per NCTE norms. Earlier the certificate stayed valid for seven years only. Qualified candidates can use the same certificate for teacher recruitment at any stage of their career. There is no need to appear in the TET again. Just keep the scorecard and the certificate safe in original form. A soft copy should always be stored on your phone or cloud drive.

Q5. What is the next step after clearing the UPTET 2021 exam?

Passing the TET only makes you eligible for teacher posts. It is not a job offer by itself. Qualified candidates must apply separately whenever the basic education department releases teacher recruitment notifications. Those drives may include their own written test, interview, or merit based shortlisting. Keep your scorecard, degree certificates, and D.El.Ed or B.Ed documents ready. Watch the official portal for recruitment news in your district.

Q6. Is there any age limit or age relaxation for UPTET 2021?

There is no upper age limit to appear in the TET. Candidates must be at least 18 years old. Standard government age relaxation applies later during actual teacher recruitment. OBC candidates get 3 years of relaxation. SC and ST candidates get 5 years. PwD candidates get 10 to 15 years depending on the post. Ex-servicemen get relaxation as per prevailing rules. Always confirm the exact slab in the recruitment notification.

Q7. Can final year students apply for UPTET 2021?

Yes. Candidates who have appeared in the final year D.El.Ed or B.Ed exam are allowed to apply. The same relaxation applies to BTC and B.El.Ed final year students. You must produce the passing certificate during document verification. If you fail the final year exam, your TET qualification becomes invalid. So complete your teaching degree without delay. Final year appearing candidates should attach a fresh bonafide certificate from their institute.

Q8. What is the UPTET 2021 application fee and who gets a concession?

For Paper I alone, General and OBC candidates pay Rs 600. SC and ST candidates pay Rs 400. Divyang applicants pay only Rs 100. For both papers together, General and OBC candidates pay Rs 1200. SC and ST candidates pay Rs 800. Divyang applicants pay Rs 200. Female candidates pay as per their own category. There is no separate women exemption in this test. Payment is accepted through SBI I Collect and SBI E Challan mode only.
