Q1. How can I check my RRB ALP CBT II result if I lost my registration number?

Open the score card portal and click the Forgot User ID option. The system asks for your registered mobile number or email ID. You also need your Date of Birth and the security question answer. Once verified, your registration number is sent to your mobile number. You can also search your old admit card or application printout. Regional RRB helpdesks assist candidates during working hours. Keep the details safe after recovery.

Q2. What are the minimum qualifying marks for ALP CBT I and CBT II?

For CBT I, you need 40% if you belong to UR, 30% for OBC and SC, and 25% for ST. For CBT II Part A, the same category wise percentages apply. For CBT II Part B, every category needs 35% marks. The CBAT stage requires at least 42 marks. These are only qualifying limits, not final selection marks. Actual cut offs are usually higher than the qualifying scores.

Q3. Is there any re-checking or re-evaluation facility for the ALP answer sheet?

No re-checking or re-evaluation is allowed after the result is declared. Railway rules permit only answer key objections before the result date. Once the objection window closes, no further challenge is accepted. The final answer key is treated as the official record. Scores are then computed from that final key. This rule applies to every stage of the recruitment.

Q4. What happens after the CBT II result and when is the CBAT held?

Shortlisted candidates move to the Computer Based Aptitude Test. The CBAT is scheduled for 30 October 2026 as per the current notice. It has five test batteries and needs 42 marks to qualify. Admit cards are released a few days before the exam date. Only CBT II qualified candidates can appear in this test. Updates come on your regional RRB website.

Q5. Will I get an application fee refund if I did not appear in the CBT I exam?

No, the refund is linked to your actual appearance in the Stage I exam. UR, OBC and EWS candidates receive Rs 400 back after appearing. SC, ST, PH and female candidates receive Rs 250 back. Candidates who skipped the exam get nothing. The refund is credited to the same payment account. It usually takes a few weeks to reflect.

Q6. Are the ALP results declared zone wise or as one common list?

Results are declared zone wise by each regional RRB board. Each board publishes its own PDF with shortlisted roll numbers. Cut off marks are also released separately by every zone. The common score card login works for all regions. Your zone depends on the RRB you selected in the form. Always check your own regional website for updates.

Q7. Which documents are required at the ALP document verification stage?

Carry your Class 10 marksheet and certificate for date of birth proof. Bring the ITI trade certificate, diploma or B.Tech degree with all marksheets. Keep your caste, EWS or PwBD certificate if you claimed any relaxation. A valid photo ID such as Aadhaar, PAN or Passport is compulsory. Also take the application printout, fee receipt and passport size photos. Originals plus two photocopy sets are needed.

Q8. Does negative marking apply in the RRB ALP computer based tests?

Yes, one third of the marks are deducted for every wrong answer. Blank answers carry no penalty at all. So guess only when you are reasonably confident. This rule applies to CBT I and both parts of CBT II. The CBAT test batteries do not follow this penalty pattern. Always read the instructions on the exam screen carefully.
