General category students need at least 50% aggregate marks in PCB subjects. SC, ST, and OBC candidates require a minimum of 40% aggregate marks. Students appearing for their Class 12 board exams in 2025 are also eligible to apply. They must pass the board exam before the first round of medical counseling begins.

Q2. What is the age limit and cutoff date for NEET UG 2025?

The minimum age to appear for NEET UG 2025 is 17 years. You must be born on or before 31 December 2008 to meet this requirement. There is absolutely no upper age limit for this medical entrance test. The National Medical Commission removed the maximum age cap recently. Therefore, older candidates can freely apply without any restrictions. Standard age relaxations do not apply here because there is no upper ceiling to relax against.

You can download both documents as PDF files for your personal records. Always verify your responses against the official key to estimate your probable score accurately.

Q4. Can I challenge the NEET UG 2025 answer key if I find errors?

Yes, NTA provides a specific window for candidates to raise objections. You can challenge any question you believe has an incorrect official answer. A non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 1000 applies per challenged question. You must pay this fee online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking. Subject matter experts will review all submitted challenges thoroughly. If your challenge is found correct, NTA will update the final answer key. The processing fee for that specific question will then be refunded to your account.

Q5. What is the application fee for NTA NEET UG 2025 across different categories?

General and unreserved category candidates must pay an application fee of Rs. 1700. Applicants belonging to the EWS and OBC NCL categories pay a slightly reduced fee of Rs. 1600. SC, ST, and physically handicapped candidates only need to submit Rs. 1000. For candidates applying from centers outside India, the examination fee is significantly higher at Rs. 9500. You can pay these fees online through debit cards, credit cards, UPI, or net banking. Offline payment via E Challan at designated bank branches is also fully supported.

Q6. What is the exact exam pattern and marking scheme for NEET UG 2025?

The NEET UG 2025 examination is conducted in a traditional pen and paper mode. The question paper contains exactly 200 multiple choice questions in total. You are required to attempt only 180 questions out of the given 200. The paper is divided into four subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. Each subject has two sections containing 50 questions each. You must attempt 45 questions from every section. Each correct answer awards you 4 marks. One mark is deducted for every incorrect response. The total time allowed to complete the paper is 3 hours and 20 minutes.

Q7. When was the correction window open for NEET UG 2025 applications?

NTA opened the application form correction window from 9 March 2025 to 11 March 2025. During this brief period, you could edit specific details in your submitted form. Allowed changes typically included your uploaded photograph, scanned signature, and category selection. You could also modify your preferred exam city choices during this correction phase. No new registrations were accepted during this window. It was strictly meant for editing already submitted application data. Always double-check your details before final submission to avoid relying heavily on this short correction period.

Q8. Is Aadhaar Card mandatory for filling the NEET UG 2025 application form?

Yes, providing your Aadhaar Card details is strictly compulsory for NEET UG 2025 registration. NTA uses Aadhaar to verify the unique identity of every applicant across India. You must enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number correctly during the online application process. Ensure your name and date of birth match exactly with your Aadhaar records. Discrepancies between your application form and Aadhaar data can lead to rejection. Carry your original Aadhaar Card to the examination center on the test day. It serves as a primary valid photo identity proof for entry into the exam hall.
