Q1. When was the UTET Answer Key 2026 released and where can I download it?

The Uttarakhand Board of School Education released the provisional answer key on 05 October 2026. Paper I and Paper II keys are available as separate PDF files. You can download both from ukutet.com. The same page also hosts the response sheet and the question paper booklet. Keep the PDF safe on your phone till the final key arrives.

Q2. What is the last date to raise an objection against the UTET provisional answer key 2026?

The objection window closes on 15 October 2026. Challenges are accepted online only. You must quote the question number and attach a valid reference. Offline letters or emails are not entertained. The Board reviews every challenge and then issues the final answer key.

Q3. What are the educational qualifications for UTET Paper I and Paper II?

Paper I needs 10+2 with 50% marks plus D.El.Ed. or B.El.Ed. Code 02 allows 45% marks in Intermediate. Paper II needs a Bachelor Degree with B.Ed. or an equivalent teacher training course. Candidates appearing in the final year of the training course can also apply. Read the code wise list in the official notification before you register.

Q4. Is there any age limit to apply for UTET 2026?

There is no upper age limit for UTET. The minimum age is 18 years. Age is counted from the Date of Birth on your Class 10 marksheet. Since the test carries no upper age bar, no relaxation slab applies here. Reserved category candidates get the usual age relaxation later, during regular teacher recruitment.

Q5. What is the UTET 2026 application fee and who pays the lower amount?

For Paper I only, General, OBC and EWS candidates paid Rs 600. SC and ST candidates paid Rs 300. For both papers, General, OBC and EWS candidates paid Rs 1,000. SC and ST candidates paid Rs 500. This notification lists no separate exemption for women or PwD candidates. Payment is made online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or the offline fee mode.

Q6. How many marks are needed to qualify UTET 2026 and is there negative marking?

A candidate must score at least 60% to qualify. Paper I carries 150 marks. Paper II carries 210 marks. There is no negative marking, so attempt every question. All questions are objective type with four options. The final answer key decides your actual score.

Q7. Can candidates from other states apply for UTET 2026?

Yes, candidates from other states are eligible to fill the UTET 2026 online form. There is no domicile restriction for the test itself. The exam ran in 13 districts of Uttarakhand. Keep in mind that separate state level recruitment rules may apply later, when you apply for a teaching post.

Q8. Which documents should I keep ready after the UTET answer key stage?

Keep your Class 10 marksheet, Class 12 marksheet, graduation degree, and the teacher training certificate handy. Also keep a valid photo ID, passport size photograph, and category or EWS certificate if applicable. The Board may ask for these papers while issuing the TET eligibility certificate. Store scanned copies on your phone and on email as a backup.
