Q1. I lost my UPTET 2026 roll number. How can I download the certificate now?

Do not worry, there are easy ways to recover it. Check the admit card you downloaded before the exam. Look through the registered email inbox and SMS messages sent by UPESSC. The certificate portal also accepts the registration number in place of the roll number. You can raise a helpdesk ticket on the official website with your application number. Carry your Class 10 marksheet and Aadhaar card while contacting the helpdesk. The support team verifies your identity and shares the roll number on the same day in most cases.

Q2. What are the minimum qualifying marks in UPTET 2026?

General category candidates must score 60% marks, that is 90 marks out of 150. SC, ST, OBC and PwD candidates get a relaxation of five percent. They need 55% marks, which is 82.5 out of 150. There is no negative marking, so answer every question. Marks are counted from the final answer key only. Candidates who clear the cut off receive the TET certificate from UPESSC. The certificate stays valid for a lifetime under NCTE rules.

Q3. Can I get my UPTET certificate details corrected after the download?

Yes, UPESSC opened a certificate correction window on 25 September 2026. You pay a correction fee of Rs. 200/- for each request. Only genuine mistakes like name spelling, father name, date of birth and subject errors are accepted. A supporting document such as your Class 10 marksheet or Aadhaar card must be uploaded. Requests without proof get rejected, and the fee is not refunded. Read the official correction notice before submitting anything online.

Q4. Is the DigiLocker copy of the UPTET certificate accepted for teacher recruitment?

Yes, the DigiLocker version carries the same legal value as the printed certificate. Employer departments accept it during document verification. It is digitally signed by the issuing authority, so nobody can tamper with it. You simply open the DigiLocker app and link your Aadhaar based account. The UPTET certificate appears under the issued documents section. Download the PDF or show the live document at the verification counter. Keep the printed copy too for your personal file.

Q5. Is there any limit on the number of UPTET attempts?

No, the Commission has fixed no attempt limit for the TET. You may appear as many times as you wish in future cycles. Your best valid score is considered whenever you apply for a teaching post. Since the certificate has lifetime validity, one clear attempt is enough for your career. Candidates who missed the cut off can reappear in the next UPTET session. Just make sure your educational qualifications stay valid at that time.

Q6. What should I do after downloading the UPTET 2026 certificate?

Start applying for Assistant Teacher vacancies in Uttar Pradesh. The Basic Education Department runs recruitment for Primary and Upper Primary posts. The Secondary Education Department handles its own Assistant Teacher and Lecturer drives. Each advertisement carries separate age limits, fees and selection stages. Keep your degree, training certificate and TET certificate ready in original form. Follow sarkari king for the latest teacher recruitment updates and notification alerts.

Q7. Why is my UPTET certificate not opening even after entering correct details?

Heavy server load is the most common reason during the first few days. Try again late at night or early in the morning. Clear your browser cache or switch to another browser. Confirm that your roll number and date of birth match the admit card exactly. A single wrong digit blocks the download. If the problem continues for two days, contact the UPESSC helpdesk with your registration number. Also check whether your result status shows as qualified on the result portal.

Q8. Is the UPTET certificate enough to become a government teacher?

No, the certificate only makes you eligible to apply. You still need to clear a separate teacher recruitment examination. That recruitment includes written tests, document verification and sometimes an interview stage. Age limits and reservation rules of that recruitment will apply to you. Your degree and teacher training certificate must be valid on the cut off date. Clearing the TET is the first big step in that journey, and the certificate stays valid for a lifetime.
