Q1. How can I check the UPSC CDS II 2025 final result?

Visit upsc.gov.in and open the What's New section. Look for the CDS II 2025 Final Result link. The PDF carries roll numbers of all recommended candidates. Press Ctrl+F and search your roll number. Download the file and keep a printed copy safe for later rounds.

Q2. I lost my roll number. Can I still check my CDS II result?

Your roll number is printed on the admit card you downloaded earlier. Check the email and SMS you received during registration. The merit PDF lists roll numbers only, not names in every case. You can cross check your name in the written result list. Contact the UPSC helpline if you still cannot trace your number.

Q3. What are the minimum qualifying marks in UPSC CDS II?

UPSC fixes a minimum score for each paper and for the written aggregate. In general, you need about 20% in every paper. The overall written total should touch roughly 45%. Only then does your name move to the SSB stage. Final merit adds written marks and SSB marks together.

Q4. Can I apply for re-checking or re-evaluation of my CDS II answer sheets?

UPSC does not allow re-checking or re-evaluation of answer sheets. Scanned copies are not shared with candidates either. You may request your marks through the RTI route. Do that within the prescribed time window. There is no provision for a fresh assessment of your script.

Q5. What happens after the CDS II final result is declared?

The final result settles your academy and course allotment. Selected candidates receive joining letters from the concerned academy. You must clear the medical board before reporting. Then you join IMA, INA, AFA or OTA as per the merit order. Training starts as per the academy calendar.

Q6. When will UPSC release the cut off marks and marks of recommended candidates?

The cut off marks were uploaded on 14 August 2026. Marks of recommended candidates came out on 21 August 2026. Both files sit on the official UPSC portal. Look under the Examination tab on the home page. You can compare your score with the merit list there.

Q7. How many candidates were recommended in the CDS II 2025 merit list?

A total of 302 candidates were recommended in the final merit list. They cover IMA, INA, AFA and OTA entries together. The OTA final result was declared separately on 7 August 2026. A revision in the order of merit followed on 7 April 2026. The total notified vacancies were 453 posts.

Q8. Which documents do I need for the medical and joining stage?

Keep your Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets ready. Carry your graduation degree and final marksheet. Bring category certificates in the central government format. A valid photo identity proof is also required. Medical fitness papers and photographs help you at the academy.
