Q2. How can I check my UPSC CAPF AC result if I lost my roll number?

Open the name wise result PDF instead of the roll wise file. Your full name and registration number are printed there. Use Ctrl and F to search your name in the PDF. If two candidates share the same name, match the registration number. You can also recover the roll number from your admit card or the application receipt saved on your phone.

Q3. What are the minimum qualifying marks in the UPSC CAPF AC written exam?

Paper I is an objective paper of 250 marks. Paper II is a descriptive paper of 200 marks. The commission fixes the minimum qualifying marks for each paper and for each category. Paper II is checked only if your Paper I score crosses that cut off. Official cut off marks for 2026 are declared with the final merit list.

Q4. Can I apply for re-checking or re-evaluation of my UPSC CAPF answer sheet?

No. UPSC does not allow re-checking or re-evaluation of answer scripts. The commission follows a strict evaluation process with multiple checks. A wrongly marked answer key entry can be challenged during the answer key window. That window closed on the date mentioned in the official notice. After that, no representation on marks is accepted.

Q5. What happens after the written result? What is the next stage?

Shortlisted candidates move to the Physical Standards Test and Physical Efficiency Test. The commission then conducts the Medical Standards Test. Candidates who clear both rounds appear for the Interview or Personality Test. That round carries 150 marks. The final merit list is prepared out of 600 marks. Call letters are uploaded on the official portal only.

Q6. What is the educational qualification for UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant?

You need a bachelor degree in any stream from a recognised university. Final year students were not allowed for this cycle. There is no minimum percentage rule for the degree. Distance or open university degrees count if the university has proper recognition. Candidates must be Indian citizens as per the notification.

Q7. What is the age limit and category wise relaxation for this exam?

The age band is 20 to 25 years as on 1 August 2026. OBC non creamy layer candidates get 3 years extra. SC and ST candidates get 5 years extra. PwD candidates get 10 to 15 years depending on their category. Ex servicemen and government servants get relaxation as per central government rules.

Q8. Which documents do I need for the physical and medical test round?

Carry your printed written result, admit card and a valid photo identity proof. Keep your Class 10 certificate for date of birth proof. Take the original degree and marksheets of graduation. Reserved category candidates must bring a valid caste or EWS certificate. PwD candidates need a certificate from a competent authority. Carry a few passport size photos and a medical fitness declaration if asked.
