Q1. When does the UPBOCW Computer Operator Recruitment 2026 application window open and close?

The online form opened on 07 September 2026 on the UP Rojgar Sangam portal. The last date to submit the completed form is 15 September 2026. Try to finish before the final day, because the portal gets slow near the deadline.

Q2. How many Computer Operator vacancies are open in this UPBOCW outsourcing drive?

A total of 84 Computer Operator posts are open across various district offices of the UP Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. These seats are spread over Basti, Meerut, Agra, Kanpur Nagar, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, and many other districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Q3. What educational qualification and computer certificate do I need for this post?

You must hold a bachelor degree in any stream from a recognized university in India. A CCC certificate from NIELIT or DOEACC is also required. Any equal computer certificate recognized by the government is accepted. Practical knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and typing helps during the skill test.

Q4. I am in the final year of graduation. Can I apply for this recruitment?

Candidates who have not yet received their final degree marksheet should wait for the result. The board verifies original pass certificates during document checking. If your degree is not complete by the verification date, your candidature can be cancelled even after selection.

Q5. What is the age limit and how is the cutoff date calculated?

The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 40 years as on 15 September 2026. OBC candidates get 3 years of upper age relaxation, while SC and ST candidates get 5 years. PwD candidates get 10 to 15 years of relaxation under government norms.

Q6. Is there any application fee for this recruitment, and are women candidates exempt?

There is no application fee at all. General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST, PwD, and women candidates all pay Rs. 0/-. Since no payment is needed, no fee receipt will be generated and no refund question ever arises.

Q7. Is registration on the UP Rojgar Sangam (Sewayojan) portal compulsory before applying?

Yes. Applications are accepted only from candidates who already hold a Sewayojan portal registration. Visit sewayojan.up.nic.in and complete your one time registration with a valid mobile number and email ID. Keep your registration number handy for the whole process.

Q8. Is the UPBOCW Computer Operator post a permanent government job?

No. This is a pure outsourcing and contractual engagement. The board pays a fixed monthly honorarium for a set tenure. The contract can be renewed on the basis of your work record and the ongoing need of the department. There is no automatic claim on regular government service.

Q9. What is the selection process, and will there be a written exam?

There is no long written exam for this post. The board screens all applications first. Shortlisted candidates then take a practical computer skill test covering typing and data entry. Document verification follows for those who clear the skill round, and the final merit list is prepared from the scores.
