Q1. What qualification do I need for the UP Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya Special Educator post?

You need a Bachelor Degree in any stream with B.Ed in Special Education from a recognized university. A general B.Ed along with a one or two year Diploma in Special Education is also accepted. PG Diploma, PG Professional Certificate in Special Education, BA B.Ed Visual Impairment, and Senior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf are valid too. Candidates must also have one year of teaching, education, or training experience.

Q2. What is the age limit and how is the cutoff date calculated?

The minimum age is 22 years and the maximum age is 35 years as on 06 August 2026. Reserved category candidates get upper age relaxation as per Samiti norms, such as 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC and ST. PwD candidates may get 10 to 15 years of relaxation. Ex-servicemen get relaxation as per government rules. Always calculate your age against the 06 August 2026 cutoff date.

Q3. Is there any written exam or interview for this recruitment?

There is no written exam and no computer based test. Selection happens through merit screening of your academic records and teaching experience. Shortlisted candidates are then called for an interview or counselling round. Document verification follows the interview for final engagement.

Q4. Do I have to pay any application fee?

No. The application fee is zero for every candidate. General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST, female, and PwD applicants all pay nothing. There is no payment gateway step in the online form. You only need to submit the form successfully on the Sewayojan portal.

Q5. Is this a permanent government job and how long is the contract?

This is not a permanent government job. The engagement is on a purely outsourcing and contractual basis until 31 March 2027. Renewal depends on your performance and the requirement of the Samiti. The Samiti may also end the contract early or change the number of posts at any time.

Q6. How do I apply online and is Sewayojan registration compulsory?

Yes, registration on the UP Rojgar Sangam (Sewayojan) portal is compulsory. Complete your candidate registration first at sewayojan.up.nic.in. You can then log in at the IEP link and fill the Special Educator form. The application window stayed open from 29 July 2026 to 06 August 2026.

Q7. Can I apply for more than one subject in this recruitment?

Yes, you can apply for multiple subjects if vacancies exist there. Each subject needs a separate application form. You must attach separate documents and a separate envelope with every form. Incomplete or unsigned forms are rejected without any prior notice.

Q8. Which documents should I carry for counselling or document verification?

Carry your Class 10 marksheet, degree certificate, B.Ed or special education diploma, RCI approval proof, and one year experience certificate. Add your caste or PwD certificate if applicable, along with an Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Passport. Keep one photocopy set ready for submission. No TA or DA is paid for attending this round.
