Q1. When was the RRB Technician Admit Card 2026 released?

The Railway Recruitment Board released the RRB Technician Admit Card on 2 October 2026. It covers both Technician Grade I Signal and Grade III posts under CEN 02/2026. The hall ticket is live on the official RRB portal. Download it before your exam date to avoid server rush.

Q2. How can I download the RRB Technician CEN 02/2026 hall ticket?

Visit rrb.indianrailways.gov.in and open the CEN 02/2026 admit card link. Pick your post link, then enter your registration number and date of birth. Your hall ticket appears on screen as a PDF file. Save it and take a clear colour printout for the exam centre.

Q3. What are the educational qualifications for RRB Technician 2026?

Technician Grade III needs a Class 10 pass with an ITI certificate from NCVT or SCVT. The trade must match the post you apply for. Technician Grade I Signal needs a BSc in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, IT or Instrumentation. A BE, B.Tech or three year Polytechnic Diploma in these streams also works.

Q4. What is the age limit and relaxation for RRB Technician 2026?

The minimum age is 18 years as on 1 July 2026. The upper limit is 30 years for Grade III and 33 years for Grade I Signal. OBC candidates get 3 extra years and SC, ST candidates get 5 extra years. PwD candidates get 10 to 15 years relaxation as per Railway norms.

Q5. What is the RRB Technician selection process and exam pattern?

Stage 1 is a Computer Based Test with 100 objective questions worth 100 marks. You get 90 minutes to finish the paper. The sections are Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and Basic Science and Engineering. Shortlisted candidates then face document verification followed by a medical test. There is no interview round.

Q6. Is there any negative marking in the RRB Technician CBT?

Yes, the board applies negative marking. One third of the mark is deducted for every wrong answer. So guess only when you can rule out a few options. Unattempted questions carry no penalty at all. Accuracy matters more than volume in this exam.
