Q1. What is the minimum educational qualification for Rajasthan SET 2026?

You must hold a Master's degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university. The minimum required score is 55% marks for the general category. SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD candidates need 50% marks. The degree must come from a UGC recognized institute. Your PG subject should match the Paper II subject you select.

Q2. Can final year Master's degree students apply for Rajasthan SET 2026?

Yes, final year PG students can apply on a provisional basis. Such candidates must complete the degree before the verification stage. You will need to produce the final marksheet and passing certificate later. If you fail to qualify, your SET result stands cancelled. So do check the official notification for the exact condition.

Q3. Is there any upper age limit for Rajasthan SET 2026?

No. There is no upper age limit for the Rajasthan State Eligibility Test 2026. Candidates of any age can appear if they meet the academic criteria. Since no upper limit exists, age relaxation rules do not apply here. Reserved categories do get a 5% relaxation in the qualifying marks as per UGC norms.

Q4. What is the Rajasthan SET 2026 exam pattern and is there negative marking?

The test has two papers. Paper I covers Teaching and Research Aptitude with 50 questions for 100 marks. Paper II covers your chosen subject with 100 questions for 200 marks. Both papers are objective type and carry 300 marks in total. The combined duration is 3 hours. There is no negative marking for wrong answers.

Q5. How much is the application fee and who gets a concession?

General and other state candidates pay Rs. 1500. EWS, SBC, and OBC candidates pay Rs. 1200. SC, ST, and PH candidates pay a reduced fee of Rs. 750. Payment is accepted online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. Forms without a paid fee are treated as incomplete.

Q6. Can I correct my application form after submission?

Yes, a form correction window was provided on 11 August 2026. You could edit details like name, subject, and marks during that period. The subject choice usually cannot be changed after the fee is paid. Requests for changes after the window closes are not accepted by the university.

Q7. When was the Rajasthan SET 2026 answer key released and how do I check it?

The answer key was released on 5 October 2026 on the official website uok.ac.in. Open the SET Examination 2026 page and click the answer key link. Subject wise key PDFs are available there. You can compare your responses and estimate your score. Any objection window will be notified on the same portal.

Q8. Is qualifying Rajasthan SET enough to become an Assistant Professor?

Yes, clearing the Rajasthan SET makes you eligible to apply for Assistant Professor posts. This applies to colleges and universities within Rajasthan. The certificate does not guarantee a job on its own. You still need to apply against vacancies and clear the interview of the concerned university. The SET certificate stays valid for life.

Q9. Which documents are needed during verification for Rajasthan SET 2026?

You must carry your Class 10 certificate, PG marksheets, and the final degree certificate. A valid photo identity proof and category certificate are also required. Keep your SET admit card and application confirmation page handy. Original documents along with one photocopy set are usually demanded at the centre.
