Q1. What is the last date to submit the KGBV Banda application form 2026?

The offline form window opened on 25 July 2026 and closes on 9 August 2026 at 5 PM. Forms that reach the District Basic Education Officer office after this time are rejected. Send your envelope well before the deadline so postal delay does not cost you the chance.

For every post except Principal, the age band is 25 to 45 years. The Principal post asks for a minimum of 30 years and a maximum of 45 years. Your age is counted as on 1 April 2026. Reserved category candidates get the usual upper age relaxation as per government rules.

Q3. What qualifications are needed for the PGT and Principal posts?

PGT posts need a Master Degree in the relevant subject along with a B.Ed degree from a recognized university. The Principal post also requires a Master Degree plus teaching experience at a secondary or senior secondary school. PGT Computer Science accepts BE, B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, MCA or a Master Degree with a PG Diploma in Computer Application.

No. The district office charges no fee from any candidate. General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST, PwD and women applicants are all fully exempt. You simply attach the required documents and send the form to the given address.

Q5. How will candidates be selected for these contractual posts?

There is no written exam here. The department screens all applications against the eligibility and age rules. Academic marks, subject knowledge and past teaching or hostel work decide the shortlist. Shortlisted candidates then face an interview or a practical test. Final selection follows a full document verification round.

Q6. How long is the contract tenure and can it be renewed?

The engagement is temporary and session based. Renewal depends on your work performance, attendance and the availability of funds. The department can end the contract at any time without notice. This job creates no right over a permanent government post.
