Q1. How can I check my UPSC CAPF AC 2024 result if I lost my roll number?

You do not need your roll number to check the initial written result. The commission releases the written result in two separate PDF formats. One PDF lists qualified candidates by their roll numbers. The other PDF lists them alphabetically by their names. You can simply open the name wise result PDF on the official UPSC website. Use the find feature on your browser to search for your full name. If your name appears on that list, you have cleared the written stage. For downloading individual scorecards later, you will need your registration ID. You can recover your registration ID through the official portal helpdesk by providing your email address.

Q2. What were the minimum qualifying marks for the UPSC CAPF AC 2024 exam?

The Union Public Service Commission sets different cut off marks for each category. These cut offs depend on the total number of vacancies and overall candidate performance. Paper I carries 250 marks and Paper II carries 200 marks. Candidates must secure the minimum threshold in both papers separately. They must also meet the combined aggregate cut off to qualify. Based on previous trends, general category candidates typically need around 95 marks in Paper I. The final combined cut off usually falls near 282 marks out of 450. Reserved category candidates receive proportionate relaxation in these qualifying thresholds. The exact official cut off marks are published alongside the final result declaration.

Q3. Is there any provision for rechecking or revaluation of the CAPF AC answer sheets?

There is no provision for manual rechecking or revaluation of answer sheets. The written examination uses objective type questions for Paper I. These are evaluated through automated computer scanning systems. Paper II contains descriptive answers which are evaluated under strict standardized protocols. The commission does not entertain requests for re evaluation of either paper. However, candidates who fail to qualify can view their marks after the final result. The scorecards become available on the official website within 15 days of the final list. These scorecards remain accessible for exactly 30 days. You must download your scorecard within this limited time frame for your personal records.

Q4. What happens after a candidate clears the written result for CAPF Assistant Commandant?

Clearing the written examination is only the first major step in the selection process. Shortlisted candidates must next appear for the Physical Standards Test. Officials will measure your height, chest expansion, and weight against prescribed limits. If you pass the measurement test, you immediately take the Physical Efficiency Test. This involves running races, long jumps, and shot put throws based on your gender. Candidates who clear all physical tasks then undergo a thorough medical examination. A specialized medical board checks your vision, hearing, blood reports, and general fitness. Finally, medically fit candidates receive a call letter for the personality test. The interview carries 150 marks and determines your final position on the merit list.

Q5. Can final year graduation students apply for the UPSC CAPF AC recruitment?

No, final year students cannot apply for this recruitment examination. The official notification clearly states that candidates must hold a completed bachelor degree. This degree must come from a recognized university in India before the application closing date. You must possess the final passing certificate and consolidated marksheet at the time of applying. Provisional certificates are accepted only if they prove you have already passed all exams. Candidates waiting for their final semester results are not eligible to submit forms. If you apply without meeting this rule, your candidature will face cancellation. This rejection can happen at any stage of the selection process or even after joining.

Q6. What are the specific medical and vision standards required for CAPF Assistant Commandants?

Medical fitness is extremely strict for central armed police forces officer roles. Your distant vision must be 6/6 in the better eye and 6/9 in the worse eye. Corrective lenses are allowed but only within specified refractive error limits. Myopia must not exceed minus 4.00 diopters including cylinder values. Hypermetropia must not exceed plus 4.00 diopters including cylinder values. Near vision should read N6 for the better eye and N9 for the worse eye. Color blindness of any degree leads to immediate disqualification from the process. Flat foot, knock knees, and varicose veins are also grounds for medical rejection. The medical board conducts comprehensive tests to ensure you can handle active field duties.

Q7. When and how can I download my UPSC CAPF AC 2024 scorecard?

The scorecard becomes available only after the entire selection process concludes. The commission declared the final marks record on 13 October 2026. You can download this document directly from the official UPSC website. Navigate to the examination result section and locate the CAPF AC 2024 link. You must log in using your original registration number and date of birth. The scorecard displays your marks for Paper I, Paper II, and the interview. It also shows your total aggregate score and final qualifying status. Unsuccessful candidates can use this scorecard to analyze their weak areas. Remember that the download link remains active for just 30 days. Save the PDF file locally on your device immediately after downloading it.

Q8. Are female candidates required to pay any application fee for this examination?

No, female candidates are completely exempt from paying any application fee. This exemption applies to women across all categories including General, OBC, SC, and ST. The commission waives the fee to encourage more women to join the armed forces. Male candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories must pay Rs 200. Male candidates from SC and ST backgrounds also receive a full fee waiver. Payments can be made through debit cards, credit cards, or net banking facilities. You can also pay using an SBI E Challan at any local bank branch. Always keep the payment receipt or transaction reference number safe until the process ends.
