Q1. What qualification do I need for UPRTOU B.Ed admission 2026?

You need a bachelor's or master's degree in any stream. The degree must come from a recognized university. General category candidates need at least 55 percent marks. Reserved category applicants get a 5 percent relaxation. Final year students can apply if their result is out before the cut off date. The same base rule applies to B.Ed and B.Ed (Special Education).

Q2. Is there any age limit for the UPRTOU B.Ed entrance exam?

The notice does not fix a rigid upper age limit for these teacher training courses. Candidates should confirm the exact age band in the official information brochure. Standard relaxation applies for OBC, SC, ST, PwD, and ex-servicemen candidates. Age is generally counted as on the cut off date given by the university. Read the brochure page on eligibility before you register.

Q3. What is the examination pattern and is there negative marking?

The entrance test is objective in nature with multiple choice questions. Questions come from teaching aptitude, reasoning, general awareness, and language skills. The brochure lists the exact question count, total marks, and test duration. There is no confirmed negative marking scheme yet. Prepare from graduation level basics and school level concepts.

Q4. How much is the application fee and who gets a concession?

General, OBC, and EWS candidates pay Rs 2,000. SC, ST, and PH candidates pay Rs 1,000 only. The fee is paid online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. The last date for fee payment is 17 July 2026. Any form without a paid fee gets rejected by the portal.

Q5. Can I correct mistakes in my submitted application form?

Yes, a correction window is open on 24 July 2026 and 25 July 2026. You can fix personal details, category, and course preference fields. Not every column may be editable during this window. Check the portal notice before the deadline closes. No correction request is accepted after 25 July 2026.

Q6. When will the UPRTOU B.Ed admit card release?

Admit cards are expected on 30 July 2026. Download your hall ticket from entrance.uprtouexam.in using your registration number. Carry a printed copy along with a valid photo ID to the exam centre. Entry is denied without a valid admit card. Contact the university helpline if your card does not download.

Q7. How will seats be allotted after the entrance exam?

Seats are allotted strictly on the basis of entrance exam rank. You fill course and programme preferences during the counselling stage. Allotment depends on rank, filled choices, category, and available seat intake. Admission and counselling activities begin from 17 August 2026. Candidates must confirm their allotted seat within the given timeline.

Q8. Which documents are required for UPRTOU counselling and verification?

Keep your Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets ready. Carry the degree marksheet and final passing certificate. Category, EWS, and PwD certificates must be valid and issued by a competent authority. Bring a recent photograph, signature copy, and government photo ID. Original documents along with photocopies are needed at verification.
