Q1. How can I check the UP Police Home Guard Final Result 2026 if I lost my registration number?

UPPRPB offers a recovery option on the exam portal for candidates who misplaced their application number. Open www.hgupexam2025.com and click the Find Registration Number link. Fill in your name, father's name, date of birth and registered mobile number. The portal sends your registration number through SMS on that number. You can then use it with your date of birth to open the final result page. Keep the SMS safe until the joining process finishes.

Q2. What are the minimum qualifying marks in the UP Home Guard written exam?

The board fixes category wise minimum qualifying marks for the written paper. Separate cut offs are applied for General, OBC, SC and ST candidates. Anyone who scores below that bar is removed from the merit race, even if vacancies remain. The exact qualifying figures are printed in the district wise cut off PDF released on 03 October 2026. Download that file and match your scorecard marks with your category cut off.

Q3. Is the UP Home Guard final merit list prepared only from written exam marks?

No. The final merit list is built on normalised written exam marks along with weightage for preferential qualifications. Preferential weightage covers higher education, NCC certificates and similar claims. Normalisation is done because the paper ran in multiple shifts on 25 to 27 April 2026. Your scorecard shows both raw marks and normalised marks. The merit list then arranges candidates district wise as per available vacancies.

Q4. Can I request a re-checking or re-evaluation of my UP Home Guard result?

UPPRPB does not entertain re-evaluation or re-checking requests after the final result is declared. Candidates already had a chance to raise objections against the answer key before the final key was frozen. Once the final answer key is published, no further challenge is accepted. If you notice a genuine printing or data error on your scorecard, write to the board with documentary proof. The board reviews such rare cases on merit.

Q5. What happens after the UP Police Home Guard final result is declared?

Selected candidates move into the joining and training process. The department issues district wise appointment letters to the 41,424 shortlisted candidates. You must complete medical formalities and basic Home Guard training before deployment. Keep your original documents handy for this phase. Any mismatch between the online data and your certificates can lead to cancellation at this point.

Q6. Where can I download the district wise cut off marks and merit list PDF?

Both files are hosted on the official board portal uppbpb.gov.in. Look for the notice dated 03-10-2026 under the latest releases section. The district wise merit list link and the cut off PDF link sit on the same page. You can also open the candidate login on hgupexam2025.com to view your personal scorecard. Save the PDF on your phone and take two printouts for safety.

Q7. Which documents are required at the time of document verification?

Carry your Class 10 marksheet and certificate for date of birth proof. Add your UP domicile certificate and a valid category certificate if you claimed reservation. Keep the printed application form, written exam admit card and scorecard in the file. Bring a government photo identity like Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID or Passport. Attach passport size photographs as per the prescribed specification. Candidates claiming preferential weightage must also bring the related original papers.

Q8. Will I get a posting in my own district after selection?

Home Guard enrolment is district based, so allotment happens against the vacancy of the district you applied for. Merit position decides the order of selection within that district. If you applied for a high demand district, the cut off usually stays higher there. Selected candidates are generally deployed in their own district as per operational needs. Transfers later depend on department rules and vacancy position.
