Q1. What qualifications are required for UCO Bank Specialist Officer Recruitment 2026?

For the Manager AI and ML post you need a B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, AI and ML, or Data Science with 50% marks. An MCA, M.Tech, or M.E. in the same streams also counts. The Cyber Security post accepts B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Electronics, or ECE. MCA, M.Tech, and M.Sc holders in those disciplines can also apply. Every degree must come from a recognized Indian university. Relevant post qualification experience is compulsory for both roles.

Q2. What is the age limit and which date is used for calculation?

The minimum age is 25 years and the maximum is 35 years. The cutoff date is 1 August 2026. OBC candidates get 3 extra years and SC and ST candidates get 5 extra years. PwD applicants receive 10 to 15 years of relaxation based on category. Ex-servicemen get relaxation as per existing bank rules. Always confirm your eligibility from the official advertisement before applying.

Q3. Can final year students apply for these Specialist Officer posts?

No, final year students cannot apply for this recruitment drive. The bank wants candidates who already hold a completed degree. You must also show post qualification work experience in the relevant field. A provisional certificate may not be accepted at document verification. Complete your degree and gain the required experience before you register.

Q4. What is the application fee and who gets an exemption?

General, OBC, and EWS candidates pay Rs 850 as the application fee. SC, ST, and PH candidates pay a reduced fee of Rs 175. Women candidates belonging to SC, ST, or PH categories also pay the lower amount. Payment is accepted only through debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI. Fees once paid are non refundable, so check your details first.

Q5. What is the selection process and exam pattern for UCO Bank SO 2026?

The exact pattern is described in the official notification PDF. Generally the bank shortlists candidates through an online or written test. Shortlisted applicants may then face a technical assessment and an interview. Document verification and a medical fitness check follow for final selection. The bank can modify or cancel any stage at its discretion. Read the advertisement carefully for subject wise marks and duration.

Q6. Is there any correction window for the UCO Bank SO online form?

The notification does not confirm a separate correction window for this recruitment. Candidates should therefore fill every column with extreme care. Double check your name, date of birth, and qualification entries before submission. Once the form is submitted and the fee is paid, changes are usually not allowed. Keep an eye on the official website for any update on this matter.

Carry your Class 10 marksheet for date of birth proof. Bring the original degree certificate plus all semester marksheets. Experience letters from previous employers are essential for both posts. Keep your category or PwD certificate ready if you claimed any relaxation. A valid photo identity proof and printed application form complete the set.
