Q1. When was the SSB PET PST admit card released and when does the physical test start?

The SSB PET and PST admit card was uploaded on 7 August 2026. The physical test begins from 19 August 2026 onwards. Exam dates and shift timings are printed on your e-admit card. Registered candidates also receive email and SMS alerts. Keep checking recruitment.ssb.gov.in for fresh updates.

Q2. How can I download the SSB Constable to SI (Non-GD) PET PST admit card?

Open the official admit card portal applyssb.com or the site recruitment.ssb.gov.in. Click the PET and PST admit card link. Enter your registration number with password or date of birth. Submit the details and the hall ticket appears on screen. Verify every entry and download a clear printout. Carry the same printout to the physical test centre.

Q3. Which documents should I carry to the SSB PET PST centre?

Carry a printed copy of the e-admit card plus one original photo ID. Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID or Passport all work. Bring photocopies of your Class 10 and higher qualification certificates. Reserved category candidates must carry a valid caste certificate. Sports kit and running shoes are allowed at the ground. Mobile phones and electronic items are strictly banned.

Q4. What is the selection process for SSB CT to SI (Non-GD) posts?

The first stage is the Physical Efficiency Test with the Physical Standard Test. Shortlisted candidates then face a written examination or computer based test. Technical posts add a trade or skill test. Document verification follows for candidates who clear each stage. A final medical examination closes the process. Merit is prepared from written exam marks plus qualifying stages.

Q5. Does the SSB written exam apply negative marking?

The PET and PST stages carry no written paper, so negative marking does not apply there. Rules for the written examination are listed in the detailed advertisement for each post. Most SSB objective papers do not apply a negative marking scheme. Read the official notice before the exam day. Follow the instructions printed on the question paper.

Q6. What are the SSB physical standards for PET and PST?

Height and chest measurements are taken first at the centre. Male candidates generally need about 170 cm height with 80 cm chest. Female candidates need about 157 cm height. Running tasks are usually 5 km for men and 2.4 km for women. Exact figures differ from post to post and appear in the notice. Your admit card also carries the reporting time and venue address.

Q7. What is the SSB age limit and category wise relaxation?

The minimum age is 18 years for most posts. The upper limit runs between 23 and 30 years, post wise. OBC candidates get 3 years of relaxation. SC and ST candidates get 5 years. PwD candidates get 10 to 15 years as per rules. Age is counted as on the cutoff date printed in the advertisement. A valid category certificate is mandatory for any relaxation.

Q8. How much is the SSB application fee and who is exempted?

General, OBC and EWS candidates paid Rs 100 or more, based on the post. SC, ST and PH candidates paid nothing. Women of every category were also fully exempt. Payment was accepted online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or E Challan. No fee is charged for downloading the admit card. Keep your payment receipt safe for future reference.
