Q1. What qualification do I need for CSJMU Kanpur Teaching Recruitment 2026?

You need a graduation and post graduation degree in the concerned subject from a recognised university. For Assistant Professor and Associate Professor posts, a master degree with at least 55 percent marks is expected. Reserved category candidates get a 5 percent mark relaxation. A Ph.D., NET, or SET qualification is required as per UGC norms. Teaching certificates like B.Ed, D.El.Ed, or TET are counted for relevant teaching posts. Always read the official advertisement for your exact subject rules.

Q2. Is the age limit fixed and how is relaxation given?

The official notice does not list a minimum or maximum age for these teaching posts. Age is applied as per CSJMU and UGC norms at the time of screening. Standard government relaxation applies for reserved categories. OBC candidates get 3 years, SC and ST candidates get 5 years, and PwD candidates get 10 to 15 years. Ex-servicemen get relaxation as per existing government orders.

Q3. What is the selection process and is there a written exam?

The process starts with screening of submitted applications against eligibility conditions. Shortlisted candidates then appear for an assessment of teaching skill, which is a demonstration lecture before an expert panel. An interview follows this stage. For the post of Assistant Professor, final selection is based on performance in assessment of teaching skill and interview taken together. No separate objective written test is announced for these posts.

Q4. What is the application fee and who gets a concession?

General, OBC, and EWS candidates pay Rs 2500 as the application fee. SC, ST, PH, and female candidates pay Rs 2000. You can pay online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or SBI E-Challan. Fees once paid are not refunded under any circumstance. Keep the payment receipt safe for future reference.

Q5. Can I edit my submitted form after the last date?

A correction window is offered as per the university schedule. You can fix errors in personal details, academic records, or category information during that window. Once the correction period ends, no changes are accepted. Always preview the form carefully before final submission. Contact the university helpdesk if you face technical trouble while editing.

Q6. Which documents are checked at verification?

You must carry your Class 10 marksheet for date of birth proof. Graduation and post graduation marksheets, Ph.D. certificate, NET or SET certificate, and research publication list are also required. Experience letters from past employers must show clear service dates. Category certificates, a recent photograph, a signature copy, and a valid photo identity proof complete the set. Candidature is cancelled if any document turns out to be false.

Q7. How do I apply online and where do I send the hard copy?

Register on the official portal csjmurec.samarth.edu.in with a valid mobile number and email ID. Fill in your academic and experience details, upload scanned documents, and pay the fee online. Submit the form before 31 October 2026. After submission, download the completed form and send the hard copy to the university so it reaches by 5 November 2026. Retain a printed copy for your records.
