Q1. How can I check my CISCE board result if I lost my index number?

If you misplace your index number, contact your school immediately. The school administration maintains complete records of all registered students. Your principal or class teacher can provide your exact index number. You cannot check the result without this specific detail. Keep your admit card stored safely until college admission processes are fully complete.

Q2. What are the minimum qualifying marks required to pass the ICSE and ISC exams?

Students must secure at least 33 percent marks in every individual subject. This rule applies to both the ICSE Class 10th and ISC Class 12th examinations. Failing in one or more subjects requires you to appear for improvement exams. The board offers a supplementary chance later in the year. Internal assessment marks are added to your final theory score.

Q3. Can I apply for an improvement exam if I am unhappy with my current marks?

Yes, the board allows eligible students to reappear for improvement exams. You can choose specific subjects where you want better grades. The improvement exam registration happens through your affiliated school. Results for these special exams usually arrive around late July 2026. Your highest score will reflect on the final consolidated marksheet.

Q4. Is there any provision for answer sheet rechecking or revaluation by the board?

The council permits candidates to request a recheck of their evaluated answer scripts. You must submit the application within the stipulated deadline after results. A fixed fee applies per subject for this verification service. Rechecking involves recounting marks and verifying unassessed answers. It does not mean a completely fresh evaluation by a new examiner.

Q5. How do I download my official digital marksheet using DigiLocker?

Visit the official DigiLocker website or use the mobile application. Register your account using your Aadhaar linked mobile number. Search for the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. Enter your roll number and passing year to fetch the document. The digital marksheet holds equal legal validity as the physical certificate.

Q6. What should I do if the official result portal shows a server error?

Heavy traffic often causes temporary server slowdowns on result day. Wait for fifteen minutes and refresh the page again. You can also try accessing the alternative DigiLocker link provided above. The board sometimes enables SMS based result services during heavy loads. Avoid repeatedly clicking the submit button as it may crash your browser.

Q7. Are the online scorecards valid for immediate college admissions?

The printout from the official website serves as a provisional scorecard. Most colleges accept this internet printout for initial counseling rounds. However, you must eventually submit the original hard copy marksheet. Schools receive the original documents from the board a few weeks later. Always keep multiple photocopies of your downloaded provisional scorecard ready.

Q8. When will the original mark sheets and pass certificates reach my school?

The council dispatches physical documents to all affiliated schools shortly after results. It generally takes three to four weeks for delivery. Your school principal collects and distributes them to individual students. You must sign the school register upon receiving your original certificate. Do not laminate the original pass certificate as it might invalidate it.
