Q1. How can I check my BPSC ASO Mains result if I lost my roll number?

You can recover your roll number from your original Mains admit card first. If the admit card is missing then log into the candidate portal. Use your registered mobile number and password to access your dashboard. Your roll number will be visible on the main profile page there. You can also search the final result PDF using your full name instead. Keep your registration number handy as it serves as an alternate login credential. Contact the BPSC helpdesk if both methods fail completely.

Q2. What are the minimum qualifying cut off marks for the BPSC ASO Mains exam 2026?

The Bihar Public Service Commission fixed the minimum cut off at 115 marks. This score applies specifically to candidates in the Unreserved general category. For Unreserved Women candidates the required minimum score is 105 marks. Reserved categories like SC, ST, EWS, and BC have their own specific cut off thresholds. These individual category cut offs are detailed inside the official result notification PDF. You must score equal to or above your category cut off to get recommended. Scoring below this threshold results in automatic disqualification from the final merit list.

Q3. Is there any provision for rechecking or revaluation of the BPSC ASO Mains answer sheets?

The commission does not entertain routine requests for manual revaluation of descriptive papers. Answer scripts are evaluated by subject experts under strict confidentiality protocols initially. However candidates can view their final response sheets as published by the commission. The official response sheets for General Hindi and General Knowledge are available online now. You should compare your recalled answers with the published model response sheet carefully. Formal grievances regarding evaluation errors must follow the official RTI or grievance portal route. Mass rechecking petitions are generally rejected unless a proven systemic error is found.

Q4. What happens after the BPSC ASO final result is declared for the 41 selected candidates?

The 41 recommended candidates will receive formal appointment letters very soon. The concerned administrative department in the Bihar government handles the posting process. Candidates must undergo thorough document verification before receiving their final joining orders. Original educational certificates and caste documents will be checked during this stage. A mandatory medical fitness examination is also required before actual joining takes place. Keep all original documents and multiple self attested photocopies ready for this process. SarkariKing.com will update the exact joining dates once the department issues them.

Q5. What was the exact examination pattern for the BPSC ASO Mains written test?

The Mains examination was conducted in a traditional descriptive written format. It took place on 27 February 2026 across two separate examination shifts. The syllabus primarily covered General Hindi and General Knowledge subjects extensively. Unlike the objective Preliminary exam the Mains required long form written answers. The final response sheet was later published for transparency and candidate reference. There was no negative marking scheme applied in the descriptive Mains paper. Total marks obtained in this stage solely determined the final merit ranking.

Q6. Can final year graduation students apply for the BPSC Assistant Section Officer post?

No. Final year students were strictly ineligible to apply for this recruitment. Candidates needed a fully completed Bachelor Degree from any recognized Indian university. The degree must have been officially awarded before the application closing date. Provisional pass certificates without final university convocation are usually not accepted here. Applicants who claimed a degree but failed to produce the final certificate face cancellation. Always ensure your educational qualification is fully complete before submitting any form. Teaching degrees like B.Ed or D.El.Ed were accepted only alongside a valid bachelor degree.

Q7. How is the age limit calculated for the BPSC ASO recruitment under Advt 37/2025?

The age limit calculation cutoff date was fixed as 01 August 2025. Male candidates needed to be between 21 and 37 years old on that date. Female candidates received a higher maximum age limit of exactly 40 years. Standard government age relaxations apply for reserved category applicants in Bihar. SC and ST candidates receive an additional five years of upper age relaxation. OBC candidates get three extra years added to their maximum age limit. Physically handicapped candidates receive up to ten or fifteen years of extra relaxation.

Q8. Where can I download the official BPSC ASO result and cut off PDF?
