Q1. What is the minimum educational qualification needed for Bihar ITI CAT 2026?

You must pass Class 10 from a recognised board with Mathematics and Science as subjects. The matric marksheet is checked at the time of reporting. Candidates who have already cleared Class 10 can apply for this session. If you are appearing in the current year, read the prospectus before you apply. There is no limit on the number of attempts for this test.

Q2. I lost my roll number. Can I still check my seat allotment?

Yes, you can. The first round allotment list is a public PDF file. Open it and search your name or registration number using Ctrl + F. Your roll number is also printed on the admit card copy and in the registration confirmation mail. If nothing works, call the BCECEB helpdesk with your registration number and date of birth. Staff can trace your details from the board records.

Q3. What is the age limit and how is the cutoff date counted?

The minimum age is 14 years as on 1 August 2026. No maximum age limit has been announced for this admission test. Your Class 10 certificate works as valid age proof. Relaxation, if any, follows the rules printed in the official prospectus. Read that document carefully before you move ahead with counselling.

Q4. How much is the application fee and who pays less?

General, BC and EWS candidates paid Rs 750. SC and ST candidates paid Rs 100. PH Divyang applicants paid Rs 430. The fee is paid online through Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking only. Cash payment and offline challan modes are not accepted. Keep the payment receipt safe for counselling day.

Q5. How many questions come in the ITICAT paper and is there negative marking?

The paper is objective and built on Class 10 level Maths, Science and related topics. Every correct answer carries equal marks. There is no negative marking for wrong answers as per the prospectus. The exact question count and test duration are printed in the official information brochure. Rank is prepared from the total marks scored in the test.

Q6. Can I change my filled choices after the counselling window closed?

No, edits are not allowed once the choice locking window closes. The board does not reopen the portal for such changes. Your saved choices are used as final for the seat allotment process. If seats remain vacant, a second round or spot round may follow. Watch the official website for such notices.

Q7. Is there any provision to re-check the answer sheet or rank?

BCECEB does not allow re-checking or re-evaluation after the rank card is out. The answer key stage is the only window to raise objections. Once the final rank card is published, the rank is treated as final. The board does not entertain any correspondence on this matter. So check your answer key carefully during that stage.

Q8. Which documents are needed at the reporting centre?

Carry the printed allotment letter, Class 10 marksheet, passing certificate, admit card, rank card and fee receipt. Category certificates must be valid and issued by a competent authority. Keep your ID proof and recent passport size photos ready. Original papers plus two photocopy sets are usually asked for. Missing documents can lead to cancellation of your allotted seat.

Q9. What happens after the first round seat allotment result?

You must accept the allotted seat online and pay the seat acceptance fee within the deadline. After that, report to the allotted institute for document verification. If you skip acceptance, the seat is treated as cancelled and released back to the pool. Leftover seats may go to the next round of counselling. Keep tracking the official portal for round wise updates.
