The University of Allahabad has opened Ph.D. Admission for the 2026-27 session. More than 959 research seats are on offer across science, arts, commerce, law, and social science departments. You need a Master Degree in a related subject with 55% marks. OBC, SC, ST, and EWS candidates need 50% marks only. Candidates with UGC NET, CSIR NET, GATE, JEST, ICAR, NBHM, DBT, or DHR BRET scores skip the written test. Others must clear the CRET entrance exam. Online apply from 2 September to 25 September 2026. General, OBC, and EWS applicants pay Rs. 600/-. SC and ST candidates pay Rs. 300/-. Exempted applicants pay Rs. 1200/-. There is no upper age limit for Ph.D. Admission.
